 FO198  Fox Run Farm consists of an historic well preserved collection of buildings on 35 well-draining soils.  The existing structures are an English Timber Frame barn with double transom windows.  This structure was likely built around 1795.  There is a more modern, 1920’s rear addition consisting of 13 wooden pegged stanchions and two birthing stalls.  Overall the barn is in excellent shape with metal roof in good condition.  The existing house is a center hall Greek Revival dating from about 1845.  I have undertaken some restoration projects including accurate window recreation complete with old, wavy glass.  New 220 underground electric was brought to the existing ell and is inspected and running.  There are a few hand dug stone lined wells on the property.  Finally, there is a two-seater outhouse !  
     I would love to see someone who loves and appreciates historic integrity and has a passion for niche farming ….melons, berries, flowers, veggies, etc. …..   The location is ideal.  Property is two miles from the town of Elizabethtown – the Essex County Seat.  The majority of the property is forested; mostly pines, but maples, birch and oak groves are coming in.  I am also open to the idea of a like-minded community of people sharing the property.  There are about 10 building lots which provide a wonderful opportunity for a co-housing association.
