Recently retired couple wishes to develop 40 acres of fields (10 acres) and woodland (30 acres) near the south end of Skaneateles Lake in upstate New York as permaculture, agroforestry, energy crops and/or organic crops and seeks suitable partnership with long term possibility of purchase. We have recently purchased an adjacent brick home ready for partner occupancy. Our main priority is to participate in the emerging sustainability movement to localize food, energy and light manufacturing and create strong community interaction and participation. We are flexible on lease and as to ideas of how to share in development costs and earnings. Our priority is to offer help to those with common interests. Our adjacent neighbor is also interested in participating and has 10 tillable acres and a small woodlot to add to above. We are looking for a bright, energetic herdsman to work on our farm in exchange for salary and equity in livestock. This position would provide someone with an opportunity to begin to build his/her own herd and gain experience working on a medium sized, profitable dairy.

300 acre farm in Albany County.  1920’s barn, 19th century 4 bedroom farmhouse which needs work, 2 pole barns and pond.  Was an organic beef farm for 20 years.  About 48 acres tillable although about 30 of these have not been hayed for 12 years so are shrubby.  Another 32 acres are open but soils are close to limestone bedrock.  The rest is hilly woods and old pasture.  Land is protected with an agricultural easement and is contiguous to a vegetable farm and state land.  Open to long (or short) term lease or partnership or other creative farm transfer arrangements.

Looking for business partner(s). I need someone with experience in organic farming (vegetables) and/or pasture fed chickens (also, possibly turkeys and goats in the future). I purchased a 20-acre dairy farm in December of 2005 in Chenango County. I won’t be using it as a dairy. I have approximately 4-5 acres (possibly more in the future) of well-fertilized cow pasture and would like to start growing organic vegetables on it. We have planted 30 apple trees, 10 pears, and 20 cherry trees on another part of the property for a u-pick-it in around 4-5 years. We would also like to start raising organic/pasture fed chickens for eggs. There is a large free stall barn for the chickens and housing and an attached room that can be set up for processing them. I can supply the farm, help, and a small tractor. I am open to different ideas and am flexible on the type of partnership.

 Farm owner looking for business partner.  I need someone with experience in farming organic apples, berries and vegetables.  I own an apple orchard in the Hudson Valley.  We have 350 old trees (mac, cort, idareds, red del, golden del), and we just planted 200 disease resistant apple trees (crimson crisp and goldrush).  We also have 400 plants of blackberries and raspberries, half planted last year and half planted this year.  We also have 8 honeybee hives.  Our main business is UPick, local coops and restaurants.  I can supply the farm, help, and equipment.  I am open to different ideas and am flexible on the type of partnership.
